Marissa Miller is a Hawaiian surfer from Oahu currently surfing most often along the California coastline including the cooler waters of San Luis Obispo. She moved the Mainland to pursue studies in marine studies and native peoples at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She is actively involved with Surfrider Foundation region chapter is SLO as well in her community at home on Oahu. For her school she’s helped organize and host events benefiting the Save the Waves Coalition Film Festival. This Earth Day she’ll help organize inclusion of student films to be entered in the festival.
