Marissia Quinn is a fulltime artist, art professor and surfer based in Encinitas. Marissa grew up with a strong connection with sea though only began surfing regularly over the last few years. Surfing and the ocean inspire her work, relieve her soul and align her with the power of the divine nature that fuels her work. She is largely inspired by marine cycles that illustrate stories of marine growth and degradation in efforts to depict eco-conscious awareness. Her blank canvas varies from wall mural, surfboard to textile. Last year Marissa took a trip in her van from the Mexico border north and documented it through her art resulting in a book soon to release in February of 2019.
