MAYA SAUER
Growing up between SouthEast Asia and Libya, Maya fell in love with surfing at the age of 13. At 18 she moved to landlocked Munich to study sports science at university and started surfing the Eisbach river wave. She’s currently German rapid surfing champion and even though she loves surfing “the river”, she is always up for a surf trip whether it means exploring the endless French sandbars around Hossegor or surfing Portugal’s most iconic surf breaks where her family now lives.
Maya is a big fan of cold water surfing and in the future she would love to explore more remote and freezing water destinations.
When not surfing she loves travelling, cooking and eating yummy healthy food. Maya’s a nature lover and explorer, she goes with the flow and always enjoys life to the fullest.
